Challenge

Design, Develop and Implement an entirely new business process for pharmaceutical organization to integrate Sales / Marketing functions, refocus sales efforts and streamline time to market activities.

Solution

A comprehensive Integrated Sales and Marketing Planning Process was developed and implemented. Two separate functions were combined into a single Sales and Marketing Group. Cost Systems were merged and the new organization was vertically aligned into Customer – Based Groups.

Outcome

Three new products were launched with record setting success. A new analgesic obtained sales of $ 119mm within the first 9 months. A CNS drug was launched 6 weeks early with approvals granted in December and on the shelf in January. A new antibiotic achieved an 8.1 share (~ $65 mm) in 3 months post launch.
